The manufacturer behind the stone
Raya Stone for Marble & Granite is a family-owned manufacturer and exporter of Egyptian natural stone, founded in 2008 and based in the Shak El Thoaaban industrial zone of Cairo — the heart of Egypt's stone industry. We source blocks from our own quarries in Minya and from trusted Egyptian quarries, then saw, finish, and pack every order to the customer's specification.

The founder
Raya Stone was built by Sherif Abdelfattah. He took on responsibility early — working in his father's automotive-electrical and battery workshops as a boy, and, after his father's death, helping his mother raise his younger siblings while still in his teens. A year later he completed technical training in architecture — a grounding in construction and materials that would later draw him toward stone.
In the mid-1990s he moved into heavy equipment, starting with a single wheel loader and expanding, year after year, into a fleet of excavators and loaders. In 2002 that fleet took him into Egypt's marble quarries — first operating machines for others, then partnering into a quarry of his own.
From the quarry, manufacturing was the natural next step. In 2003 he acquired land in Cairo's Tura industrial zone and built the first factory, which began sawing marble in 2006 on an 80-blade gang saw. A second factory followed — adding polishing, full granite lines and bridge cutters — today around 7,600 m² of production under one family's ownership.
That's the difference behind Raya Stone: not a trading office, but a manufacturer built from the quarry up, still run hands-on by the family that created it.
Own quarries in Minya
Our Sunny Menia and White Silvia quarries in Upper Egypt give us direct control over block quality, colour selection and supply continuity — an advantage we pass on to importers who need consistent material across repeat orders.

The factory
Across roughly 7,600 m² of production space, our lines cover the full process: an automatic Barsanti (Italy) gang saw with 80 blades, a 14-head computer-controlled Barsanti polishing line handling widths up to 215 cm, Canigo (Spain) and FGL bridge saws for cutting to size, and a dedicated packing division building seaworthy crates, bundles and pallets. A 50-ton overhead crane and loaders handle blocks and containers on site.

Export experience
We ship worldwide — recent and long-standing customers include importers and wholesalers in Germany, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Sudan, South Korea and more. We ship on CFR or FOB terms with full export documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and pre-shipment inspection where required.

How we work
Verified specifications
We quote real, producible dimensions and finishes — and say so when something needs checking against current quarry output.
Piece-by-piece quality control
Every tile and slab is inspected before it goes into the crate.
Direct communication
You deal directly with the factory in English, German or Arabic — no middlemen.
Long-term relationships
Most of our export volume comes from repeat customers, which is how we prefer to work.
